Hello, thank you for taking the time to get to know the attorney at The Law Office of Alexis Tukes-Jones,L.L.C. My name is Alexis Tukes, a solo practicing attorney, ready to give time, effort, opportunity, and counsel to those who need it most. “Call Lexii, Your Family Attorney” is more than a slogan. Lexii is a nickname used by many of my family and friends. I am not only an attorney but I’m also a wife and mother of two. I was born and raised in Texas, so I am a “southern girl” even though I am not from Louisiana. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx. I received my Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. I received a CALI award, recognizing academic excellence in the legal subject matter of Successions.
I am family-oriented, which makes it easy for me to show up prepared to provide guidance. I am compassionate and understand hardships and how sometimes those hardships may lead to unfortunate circumstances. The goal is be involved in the community by building a circle of family/friends that can trust me to help carry and take on some of those hardships. The experience and opportunities that were afforded to me during the matriculation of law school have given me the tools needed to be a great attorney. Louisiana has become a second home and I intend to contribute to its justice system in the most effective and positive path forward.
